In the last two weeks, my life has undergone some serious transformations. I don’t usually recommend courses that do not directly relate to copywriting or marketing, but in a way, I think this does. In any marketing effort, whether you are marketing your business or trying to market yourself, a certain belief system is required. You need to believe in your product (or yourself), in order to make the offer seem genuine and get your point across. Hype doesn’t come into the picture.
People buy from people that they trust. If you are not meeting them in a face to face situation, then you only have your words to relay that trust. In either case, you need to be able to create rapport with the person. Creating rapport means that the person can “see” you as someone that is like them, which makes the trust part easier. People like people that seem the same as themselves. Learning how to create rapport is a life skill that will virtually change the way you view the world and how the world views you.
For the last two weeks, myself and my new friends have been attending a seminar in London with the Chris Howard team at Think Big Education. I’m not going to go into the whole Christopher Howard biography, as you can just Google him for more information. Suffice it to say that his programmes create winners. Our instructor, Peter Shaw, took us to the limit for the 10 days that we spent with him. And I’m talking about 12 hour days! Your mind feels overwhelmed with information, as you try to cope and process it all.
We learned new techniques for creating rapport and using Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) as well as how to create hypnotic trances. While I have been a student of NLP since the 1970′s and usually find it pretty easy to create rapport, I was impressed by the training and want to recommend it to anyone that needs that extra edge for their business. You will learn how to read people, both visually and verbally, which can have a definite impact on your sales. I mean, who wouldn’t want to know what a customer was thinking when you were trying to sell them something. This isn’t mind reading, but until we, as humans, learn how to do that trick, NLP will have to suffice!
I watched amazing transformations, as people at the training let go of their excess baggage and problems that have held them back for years. At 67, I’m sure that I was the oldest person there, and I was glad to see young people in their early 20′s taking on board the message and trying to accelerate their learning curves. The teaching transcended age, race, creed and gender. Our little cross section of the world all worked together, helping each other out and pushing through doubt and fear that had existed in some cases, for decades.
If only the rest of the world could work together in the same manner, this would be a better place to live. But, I digress.
This is about you. You need to create the same type of environment for yourself and your customers, if you wish to be successful in the short time we all have on this earth. Do yourself a favour and spend time on you. Learn the techniques that will make you more powerful, in sales, with your family and friends, and with life in general. While the training is not cheap, (you really don’t want cheap training) you need to decide how much your personal success if worth. During the past two weeks, I saw people saying that they could not afford to continue from part one to part two, but after experiencing the breakthroughs at part one…had to complete part two. They decided that they were worth the cost, no matter what the price. And they are sure to be winners.
The Christopher Howard company has their event called Breakthrough to Success, throughout the world. Our next one in London, is in a couple of weeks from now. I managed to get my hands on tickets for this event, in fact for any BTS event in the world. The price on these tickets, I believe is $895 apiece. THESE TICKETS ARE FREE, as my gift to you.
If any of my readers would like tickets, please just comment on the page and let me know where to send them. This is a two and a half day event, usually Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The tickets are good for any BTS event, so don’t think you have to come to London to use them.
Please, my friends and readers, do yourself the favour and make the decision to be the best you can be.
